Registration, grading, uniforms, volunteer duties and practical season information for Hills Spirit families.
Official player registration is completed online through Play Football. Players registering for junior or senior football should complete registration early so they can participate in grading and team placement.
By registering with Hills Spirit FC, players and families agree to follow the club code of conduct and support volunteer activities such as canteen, BBQ and match-day duties. A current head-and-shoulders photo may be required during registration.
Eligible families may be able to use a NSW Government Active Kids voucher toward player registration through Play Football.
Players who wish to play with friends or past teammates should note that request early so grading and team placement can consider it.
Grading and training details can change due to weather, so watch the website and Facebook for current notices.
MiniRoos players are not graded. From U8 upwards, players may be graded individually so teams are balanced and players compete at a suitable level. Players should arrive early, wear shin pads, bring water and communicate illness, injury or non-attendance before grading.
Junior and senior players are provided with socks and a club jersey for the season. Jerseys must be returned at the end of the season before presentation day. Players purchase their own club shorts and any extra merchandise. MiniRoos players purchase their full uniform and keep it.
All players need their own shin pads, boots and water bottle. Each team is provided with training and game balls for the season. Club gear may include items such as the HSFC soft shell winter jacket, subject to availability.
Hills Spirit is volunteer-run. Families help the club operate by supporting canteen, BBQ, field setup and field pack-down duties when rostered. Junior coaches and managers require a volunteer Working With Children Check.
Anyone interested in coaching, managing, refereeing or helping around the club can send an enquiry through the registration form and choose "Volunteering / coaching / managing".
Refund requests should be made to the club registrar and are assessed against club by-laws and timing. Registration fees include the required Football NSW insurance component, which provides limited cover under Football NSW arrangements.
